Austin Radosta, Head Chef

Chef Austin Radosta, a culinary visionary with a wealth of Michelin-star experience, has joined us to elevate the dining program at Walden. With time spent at the world-renowned Momofuku Ko and 1789 Restaurant—one of Washington, D.C.'s finest dining establishments—Chef Austin brings exceptional expertise and a refined culinary perspective to The Barn.

Chef Austin’s passion for sourcing the finest ingredients from farm to fork drives his culinary philosophy. His commitment to quality and the art of cooking is supported by his dedication to sustainable practices and a deep connection to the local farming community. Direct farmer relationships result in the sourcing of whole animals and a nose-to-tail cooking approach, as well as showcasing all four seasons of Ohio produce.

In addition to elevating our dining offerings, Radosta plans to introduce a kitchen garden to The Barn, further connecting our guests to the land and enhancing our menu with the freshest produce. Eventually, he envisions a retail venture that will serve the community, allowing everyone to experience the flavors and ingredients from the region that define his culinary approach.

The Barn

THE BARN

Walden’s signature gourmet private restaurant, set in an elegantly restored 200-year-old barn, is unforgettable. You’ll love the atmosphere of warmth, nostalgia, and romance of our intimate private dining room.

Our menu is guided by the season, available at local farms as well as what is in the garden. We have a farm-to-fork philosophy, meaning we like to serve food that reflects our “pick, clean and serve” approach. Dinner is served at the Barn Tuesday through Saturday evenings.

The Barn houses a 2000-bottle Master Wine Cellar featuring the latest technology in climate control. Wine lockers can be purchased for an annual fee of $375 which includes personal pre-invitations to any wine events at the Barn and in-home wine cellar consultation.

Dress Code: In keeping with our elegant surroundings, the Barn dining room requests jackets for gentlemen and appropriate corresponding refined clothing for women. This “casual elegant” dress code prohibits any athleisure garments or pants with distress hole or similar. Sneakers, shorts, t-shirts and sweatshirts are prohibited. Please make sure all of your guests are aware of this dress code.

Gatherings: The Barn has multiple private spaces that are available to small groups. Rise up to the loft where we can accommodate a group up to 35 people. The space is open but a perfect location for a celebration. Or if you are looking for a significant amount of privacy, the Garden Room where you can use the outdoor stone patio for pre-dinner toasts. We can fit 35 people comfortably using the wine cave area. Groups of 12 or more guests will require an amended or special menu.

Meadow Room

The Meadow Room Shares in both a creative breakfast spot to meet friend and neighbors as well as a formal spot to enjoy a large event.  

Light and bright with 33-foot cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, and exposed beams, our newly renovated Meadow Room offers a neutral palette to create the wedding or event you have always wanted. Tall, generous windows allow natural light to flood the room during the day. While at night, grand chandeliers set the perfect mood for a wedding reception. The modern space can host an intimate group or have a grand event up to 225.

The Meadow Room serves breakfast daily and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Room service begins 30 minutes after opening.

The Club

Overlooking the spectacular Ohio golf course, the Walden Clubhouse offers a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and specializes in grilled steaks and the freshest in delectable seafood. Attire is smart casual.

Bogey Bar & Al Fresco Dining

Warm up at the intimate fireplace and lounge while enjoying libations and spirits and great conversation with fellow members. Just off of the Bogey Bar is the deck; the perfect place to wind your Walden day down and enjoy the sunset.

A la Carte dining at the the club is first come first serve.
